Buffalo Trace Bourbon Distillery Buffalo Trace Distillery provides for the complete production of bourbon whiskeys. All bourbon produced by the distillery is aged in century-old warehouses. Berry Hill Mansion Built by distillery executive George Franklin Berry and his wife Mary in 1900, this Colonial Revival mansion sits on a bluff overlooking the New State Capitol and the Capital City. A Gothic Revival music room (added in 1912) features hand carved oak woodwork and houses an immense cathedral organ. Rebecca Ruth Candy Tours Factory tours of the "Inventors of Bourbon Candy". This candy business began nearly a century ago in 1919 by two women, Rebecca and Ruth. Today Ruth Booe's family is involved in every aspect of making candy using time proven methods. A tour highlight is "Edna's Table," an 11 foot marble slab (circa 1854) named after an employee of 67 years. Come see candy made the old fashioned way. Tours include an educational video and more history than many museums. This is history you can taste! Walk-ins welcome, groups larger than 12 are asked to call ahead.
